Guided by our values – integrity, responsibility, creativity and confidence - we transform the lives of the people and communities we serve.

Law is a key area of strength for the University and is focused on our undergraduate programme, the LLB. Integral to the work of our law team is our award-winning Law Clinic, which provides legal advice to the community.

The Department of Economics and Law at Glasgow Caledonian University seeks to recruit 2 lecturing posts. The first post, a Lecturer in Law, will contribute across our Scots Private and Commercial Law modules.

The second post, a Lecturer in Law, whose field of expertise will cover Scottish Criminal Law and Criminal Justice modules.  The successful candidate will contribute across a number of modules in this field.

With a PhD (or nearing completion) and/or recent experience of legal practice, you’ll have the ability to deliver excellent teaching. We encourage independent thought and welcome the ability to use initiative. You’ll possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will work as part close-knit programme team and be expected to teach and manage modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level, take on leadership roles as appropriate, and engage in further development of the subject area.
