Join our dynamic team as a Marketing Officer where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our GCU London campus in achievement of recruitment targets, delivering marketing and conversion plans to secure, grow and strengthen the GCU London brand identity.  The successful candidate will work within the Directorate of Future Students Marketing and Communications and may be based at our Glasgow or London campus. If based at Glasgow regular travel to London will be required.

The person

You will have significant experience in working in higher education student recruitment and marketing. You will have led on the development of marketing plans and understand the student journey and the variety of conversion activity required to ensure the best applicant experience at all levels of study and to a range of audiences. You will also have substantial experience of creating and delivering social media strategies and campaigns and will have excellent writing skills. You will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Experience:

The successful candidate with have demonstrated experience of developing marketing plans for complex organisations, preferably in higher education together with experience of creating and publishing web content, and a working knowledge of content management systems.  They should possess excellent writing skills with sound editorial judgement and close attention to detail.  Experience of creating and delivering social media strategies, campaigns and plans is also essential for this role.  The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with others at all levels advising stakeholders on digital output and providing comprehensive monitoring, evaluation and analysis reports. 

 

Desirable Experience:

The successful candidate should have the proven skills to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal formats.  They should have an understanding and awareness of external advertising channels and the media planning process. A detailed knowledge of the Higher Education sector in London and the UK, with specific awareness of marketing best practice in this field is desirable.
