Glasgow Kelvin College is the key provider of accessible vocational and core-skills learning in the north and east of the city. We deliver high-quality introductory to degree-level programmes to around 15,000 students each year from four campus buildings and through a large network of community-based centres. Engaging with communities which experience high levels of deprivation, the College works with partners to create inclusive progression opportunities in a vibrant and sustainable environment for the learners, communities, and stakeholders which we serve.

The Apprenticeship and Skills Training Advisor will be responsible for the candidate review process, delivering on Skills Development Scotland (SDS) contractual obligations.

We need you to be able to:

As Apprenticeship and Skills Training Advisor, you will act as a point of contact between clients, candidates, and the College for candidate review activities, and you will be paying regular visits to employers and other partners across Scotland. You will conduct regular reviews meetings with all candidates and employers, recording information.

You will be responsible for uploading information to the VQ Management system, liaising with various departments within the College, assisting the Apprenticeship and Skills Engagement Lead when required as well as assisting with marketing and promotion events.

We need you to demonstrate:

· Qualified to HNC level (SCQF level 7) or equivalent or alternatively possess relevant experience and show evidence of Continuous Professional Development.

· Understanding the SDS Modern Apprenticeship contract delivery

· Experience in Apprenticeship review processes and procedures.

· Have building services industry experience.

· To be able to plan effectively.

· Excellent networking skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent presentation skills

· Excellent ICT skills

· There will be a requirement to travel across Scotland on a regular basis.
