Glasgow Kelvin College is the key provider of accessible vocational and core-skills learning in the north and east of the city. We deliver high-quality introductory to degree-level programmes to around 15,000 students each year from four campus buildings and through a large network of community-based centres. Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate would be asked to work with a team to deliver and support students on the SQA SVQ Level 3 (Commercial and Industrial) Installation, Service & Maintenance and Commissioning of Building Engineering Services Courses. The post will involve the candidate contributing to the curriculum activity within the Faculty of Engineering, Construction & Science and be responsible for the following:

· Heating & Ventilation Systems

· Air-Conditioning Systems including refrigerant based systems.

· Boilers and Combustion

· Hot and Cold-Water Services

· Electrical Maintenance and Building Services Controls

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

Applicants should hold a qualification in Building Services or minimum of SVQ Level 3 or have a time served apprenticeship in Building Engineering and have demonstrable practical industry experience.

The successful candidate should be educated to SCQF Level 8 or relevant professional equivalent in the specialist area; or significant relevant experience in the specialist area as an alternative to formal qualifications; or an appropriate vocational alternative. A recognised teaching qualification or be willing to undertake and complete within the first two years of employment. Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
