Glasgow Kelvin College is the key provider of accessible vocational and core-skills learning in the north and east of the city. We deliver high-quality introductory to degree-level programmes to around 15,000 students each year from four campus buildings and through a large network of community-based centres. Engaging with communities which experience high levels of deprivation, the College works with partners to create inclusive progression opportunities in a vibrant and sustainable environment for the learners, communities, and stakeholders which we serve.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Glasgow Kelvin College’s Library Department as a Library & Flexible Learning Officer. Applications are invited from candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to the ethos and vision of the College and help shape and develop a Learning Organisation which best serves the communities of northeast Glasgow and beyond.

As part of the Library and Flexible Learning team, the Library and Flexible Learning Officer will develop, support and maintain the College’s Library Services; ensuring that the library services delivered by Glasgow Kelvin College are up to date, of high quality and meet the needs of the College’s learners, communities, staff and wider stakeholders.

You should be educated to HNC (SCQF Level 7) or have suitable equivalent experience as an alternative to formal qualifications.

You should have demonstrable knowledge of information services, library services, or flexible learning services; working with a range of education/lifelong learning services; partnership working; and developing innovative services. A customer-focused approach is essential.
