Educational Psychologist

Jordanhill School is an all-through 5-18 community comprehensive school, directly funded by the Scottish Government (Grant Aided). There is no selection by ability and no fees are paid. There are 462 pupils in primary and 590 in secondary. We employe a total staff of circa 150 including over 80 teaching staff.

The school requires the services of a fully qualified Educational Psychologist to work as part of our extended pupil support team for one day per week or equivalent. The service may be provided by an individual on a contractual basis or as an employee of the school. Applications will also be considered from companies offering a suitable service agreement.

The role of the Educational Psychologist is to provide consultation, advice, assessment, intervention, training and research relating to psychological and educational needs arising from additional support for learning needs in education. The tasks will be in accordance with legislation, school policy and procedures and in keeping with Health and Care Professions Council code of conduct for Registered Educational Psychologists.

Applicants must hold appropriate professional qualifications and ideally should have current or recent experience of working as an Educational Psychologist.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory PVG check and eligibility to work in the UK checks.
