Principal Teacher of Pastoral Care

Jordanhill School has 4 Principal Teachers of Pastoral Care. Each has responsiblity for one of the four Houses within a vertical Guidance structure. The Principal Teachers take personal responsiblity for the pupils in S6 and manage a team of Tutors who deliver first level care to pupils in S1-S5.

The School campus comprises two main teaching buildings on the North and South campus areas. Each house has a communal registration area for S1-S5 in the South campus. S6 are based in the North campus where they have a study room.

The Pastoral Care team occupy a shared office with two integrated interview rooms in the main building on the North campus and adjacent to the Support for Learning base. Team members working in the South campus have access to interview facilities.

The intended commencement date is Monday 13th August 2018 when the new session commences.

Appointment of the successful candidate is conditional on a successful PVG check prior to commencement in the post, satisfactory references, presentation of relevant qualifications and confirmation of the right to work in the UK. Any offer of employment will be withdrawn if any of the above conditions are not satisfied.
