Temporary Lecturer - Counselling

Up to 14 hours per week

Fixed term until June 2023

£35,170 - £43,357 per annum

Seeking a qualified Counsellor who will support the teaching and development of the HNC and HND Counselling curriculum within the department of Education & Counselling .

Applicants should be registered with BACP and be in current, supervised practice. The applicant must be competent to practice and teach the blend of skills appropriate to the rationale and philosophy of the HNC/D course. These staff must work within the BACP ethical framework and their working practices should be compatible with the Humanistic Ethos of the course.

Qualified to degree level (SCQF level 9) and with work experience in the relevant discipline, you must have a good understanding of the subject area.  You will possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate and encourage students.

Possession of a teaching qualification and assessor or verifier units would be advantageous and experience in delivering and developing the Further Education curriculum desirable.

An effective communicator and a highly motivated individual, you will have a passion for the subject and the ability to work to deadlines and on your own initiative.
