QUEEN VICTORIA SCHOOL
DUNBLANE
FK15 0JY
seeks to appoint

Supply Teachers (Various),
Ref: 1554088

Queen Victoria School (QVS) is a co-educational Boarding School funded by the Ministry of Defence to educate some 270 children of Service Personnel. The School is set in 45 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside and offers stable and uninterrupted co-educational boarding for 11 – 18 year olds.

QVS seeks to establish a pool of enthusiastic supply teachers to cover all stages and key subjects of the Scottish curriculum from P7 to S6. The pool is required to cover short and long term vacancies, as and when the need arises, to cover such occurrences as sickness and maternity leave. Full details of the post can be found in the Job Pack which is available to view on the QVS website and in Civil Service Jobs.

Applicants must be suitably qualified to teach Primary 7 or one or more subjects at Secondary level up to S6. Applicants must be, GTC Scotland registered and PVG registered prior to taking up post.

Salary is based on SNCT Agreements. For short term appointments there is normally no requirement to work boarding school duties. However, where there is a requirement to undertake additional boarding duties, QVS Boarding School Allowance is payable to reflect this requirement. Currently this allowance is £7413 per annum. However it should be noted that all allowances are under review and there is no guarantee that this will always be available.
