Robert Gordon’s College is looking to appoint a motivated and experienced full time permanent PE Teacher or Sports Coach to lead the Hockey Programme from Primary 5 through to 1st XI (U18). The successful candidate will have experience of playing and coaching Hockey at many levels, across a wide range of ages. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the College’s sector leading and exciting 3-18 PE and Sports Curriculum and Co-curricular programme. The post is available from August 2024.

The PE Department has 14 members of Physical Education staff including the Head of PE, an Assistant Head of Department and a Director of Sport. In addition there are 3 full-time Sport coaches, 4 swimming instructors and multiple ad-hoc coaches who all contribute to the delivery of the core curriculum for which the Head of PE is responsible, and the Co-Curriculum for which the Director of Sport is responsible.

PE and Sport is a major part of life at RGC. As well as our PE, Swimming, and S&C facilities at our Schoolhill campus in the city centre, we have a 39-acre PE and Sport ground at Countesswells to the west end of the city. We are ambitious to invest in our PE and Sport facilities at both Schoolhill and Countesswells in the next few years.
