Cafeteria Assistant

UHI Shetland are looking for a motivated individual to work within our Briggistanes Cafe on a part time basis, up to 25 hours per week term time only as a Cafeteria Assistant. We are looking for someone to deliver a customer focussed service as part of a small team, and support the preparation of meals and snacks to customers. The Cafeteria Assistant must also be confident in handling cash and in the operation of cash tills and card machines.

The successful candidate must demonstrate that they are customer focussed and will ideally have some experience in a service industry or similar environment. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate a good level of competency in Maths or English (to SCQF level 2 or equivalent) and will be required to obtain a Basic Food Hygiene certificate if they do not already possess one.
