UHI Shetland have an exciting opportunity for a Head Cook at our Briggistanes Cafe in our Lerwick Campus.
The Head Cook will work within our Facilities team alongside the Cafeteria Assistant to ensure that the café;
- provides high quality food,
- a customer focused service,
- enhance the student experience,
- and meets all the relevant health and safety requirements.
The successful candidate must have an SVQ2/Highers or equivalent, in a relevant subject, hold a Food Hygiene Certificate, and must also have previous experience as a head cook/manager.
This is a permanent role working term time only in line with the organisational academic holidays, we are happy to hear from applicants who can work up to 35 hours per week, starting at 8.30am Monday to Friday.
The Preferred candidate will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update with a successful outcome prior to starting appointment.
