The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of Asset Governance and Performance Manager, based in SFRS Headquarters, Cambuslang, G72 7NA on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be required to develop, lead, manage and ensure the effective delivery of the Governance, Performance and Innovation section within the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, specifically within the following areas of responsibility:

  • Asset Performance
  • Asset Governance and Policy Development
  • Asset Financial Modelling & Planning
  • Asset Innovation, including Research and Development
  • Effective Contract Compliance and Reporting

The successful candidate must have previous experience at a senior level within a large organisation or technical / engineering environment, along with a proven contribution towards strategic and policy development, business service planning, service delivery and performance management.

The candidate must also have experience of managing and successfully delivering large scale projects in a comparable organisation, along with experience of change management, financial budget management and proven people management experience.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements.  A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.

This post is also subject to the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exemptions) Scotland Order 2013. Therefore, the successful candidate's will be subject to a Standard Disclosure record check through Disclosure Scotland.
