The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is delighted to invite applications for the Heritage Ambassador volunteer role based at the Museum of Scottish Fire Heritage, 1A Dryden Terrace, Edinburgh EH7 4NB. The role is flexible, with an availability request of 1 to 2 days a month.
Heritage Ambassadors are essential to the smooth day to day running of our museum site and will help give visitors a unique insight into life within the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
We are recuiting for volunteers to assist in the Front of House/Reception area working at the front desk/gift shop, engaging with members of the public, answering queries, supporting the delivery of our community program and generally be an approachable presence for visitors to the museum.
Candidates must have a willingness to learn and undertake training as the role requires
Must also have the ability to commit to regular, set volunteering hours for a specific period (i.e. 6 months)

This post is subject to the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exemptions) Scotland Order 2013. The successful candidate will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and will be required to carry out regulated work with adults and children.
