About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, well organised and caring individual to join Albyn Housing Society in the Finance team.

As an Accounts Payable Advisor, you will be expected to ensure the timely disbursement of the Society’s dues to meet its financial obligations, maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Society’s systems, diligently monitor and report on supplier accounts, and ensure internal and external customers receive support regarding payable-related queries.

In particular, you will be required to support the development of the Payables function, ensure the Society’s compliance with internal and external standards, and enhance opportunities for efficiencies throughout the organisation.

Your role will involve working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the efficient processing of the outgoings of the business.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced finance professional.

Main Responsibilities

- Provide guidance to the finance assistants.

- Help maintain the integrity of the Society’s finance systems.

- Ensure appropriately approved payments reach their destinations as obliged.

- Produce reports and offer insights for internal decision makers.

- Streamline payables procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Provide payables support and advice to other departments.

About You

- You will hold at least an entry-level accounting or bookkeeping qualification.

- You will have an excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively organise your own workload and guide that of others.

- You will have experience with a variety of payables tasks, delivering them with accuracy and efficiency.

- You will have knowledge of Microsoft Excel to analyse and reconcile financial records.

- You will have the drive to develop efficiencies within the department, work collaboratively and productively with other departments to ensure enhancements are reflected throughout the organisation.

- You will understand the Society’s objectives and embody its values.
