We are looking to recruit an Employment Liaison Officer to assist young people to access the Barnardo's Works programme.

Barnardo's Works is delivered in partnership with a variety of associated employers. It provides young people aged 16-24 with a unique blend of personal support and accredited training, matched with quality work experience and the opportunity for sustainable, independent employment. Barnardo's Works effectively addresses issues at the root of social exclusion and assists young people to overcome barriers such as homelessness and the impact of poverty. It gets the best deal for young people because it brings together partner agencies from all sectors.


The key responsibilities for this role are:

- Source a range of Placement Opportunities for young people in Dundee, Perth and Kinross, Angus, Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City.

- Undertake Placement Health and Safety checks.

- Provide advice and mentoring training to employers where required.

- Promote Barnardo's Works at networking events, chamber events and other opportunities to promote the service.

- Keep accurate records of contacts.
