Senior Practitioner - Fostering Edinburgh

Barnardo’s Scotland Fostering (Edinburgh) is approximately 30 years old and has a well-deserved reputation for high quality foster placements. The majority of young people are currently placed permanently but the service also offers a number of placements on an interim basis.

We are looking to recruit a qualified Social Worker who can provide support to existing foster carers and carry out training and assessment of new foster carers.

This post offers an opportunity to join a committed and enthusiastic team of professional workers and to develop knowledge and skills in the specialist area of family placement within a very supportive setting.

You will work co-operatively with children’s services, health agencies and other community based services, to provide the most effective service for children young people and families.
