The Scottish Association of Social Work (SASW) is recruiting for an Adults Services Lead for 12 months to start ASAP. The successful candidate will be working at senior levels and will have significant impact on the future of social work in Scotland.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead SASW’s contributions to adult social work policy and practice and specifically the Scottish Government’s National Care Service and National Social Work Agency programmes.
- Engage in related areas of policy and practice development, for example, Self-Directed Support, eligibility and access to support and services.
- Deliver, in partnership with Social Work Scotland and The Office of the Chief Social Work Adviser, monthly Social Work Policy Panels for frontline social workers.
- Ensure the voice of SASW members, all social workers and the voices of lived experience are heard and influence the future of social work in Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed individual with relevant social services, policy and leadership experience. You will have a successful track record of influencing policy at local and national level, knowledge of integrated social services management and experience of engaging with all stakeholders including social workers, people with lived experience, politicians, Scottish Government officials, policy representatives and coalition organisations.
- Salary: £50,456k per annum + pension, home working allowance and other benefits
- Independent contractors welcome to discuss remuneration package individually.
- Would also consider secondment arrangements if better suited for the successful candidate.
- Hybrid working from home and our office space in Edinburgh.
