This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Family Wellbeing Service working alongside children and their families in Moray (Elgin based), to offer early help and build strong relationships.

We are looking for a special Project Worker who is passionate about protecting children in the context of their families, with a strong value base and personal resilience.

At Children 1st we work with the whole family, and we see our relationships as the key to our approach to improving wellbeing. For this we seek a Project Worker who is compassionate, highly skilled and experienced in working systemically and has the personal resilience for the role. We offer whole families space and time to tell their stories, make sense of their difficulties and help them to find their solutions. You will have a sound knowledge of the impact of trauma and adversity on parenting and on children and you will play a lead role within the team in planning the work with children and their families, creating meaningful plans that promote children’s safety and wellbeing.

In turn you will join a relational, connected organisation that prioritises quality and supports its workforce to deliver this through strong relationships, as we realise this is what makes the biggest difference to children and families.

If you have suitable experience of working with children and their families and have a professional qualification in a relevant area such as Social Work, Teaching, Child Care/Social Care or related area, accredited counselling qualification, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 9 or higher then we want to hear from you.

This is a permanent, full time post of 35 hours per week, to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service.
