This exciting role within the Digital Office for Scottish Local Government aims to transform cyber security practices to both improve current cyber security defences but also provide a robust platform for enabling sector-wide digital transformation to help Scottish Local Authorities to enact digital transformation. To meet this aim, a large range of projects are undertaken across the digital landscape. The Chief Information Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all of those projects are delivered in a safe and secure way.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to make an impact at a sector-wide level across local government in Scotland by providing the leadership to help deliver against the goals of the “Cyber Resilient Scotland: strategic framework”, the “National Cyber Strategy 2022”, and “A changing nation: how Scotland will thrive in a digital world”.

Home based with some occasional travel throughout Scotland

Duration of Contract: Permanent
