The Organisation


Forth Valley Sensory Centre is a hub for people with a visual or hearing loss and where friends, families, carers, and the wider community can access quality services and advice from partner organisations. The Centre was the first of its kind constructed in the UK and specifically developed for the sensory impaired community.


The Centre provides an array of bespoke services, moulded by end users and their requests of what is most important to them. From digital support to meeting spaces, sensory garden, café as well as over 30 groups and classes and more- there is never one day the same.



The Role


This is an exciting time at Forth Valley Sensory Centre (FVSC) as they embark on a growth strategy following an award from The National Lottery. Coupled with this new opportunity, there is also the recruitment for a Operations Manager, where both positions will shape and influence the future direction.


Thanks to the generosity of The National Lottery Community Fund, we are delighted to launch this exciting new role for a Business Development Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial role in identifying growth opportunities, building partnerships and showcase the services that FVSC can provide. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies, creating awareness, and promoting the organisation to Forth Valley, with an eye on expansion.


This role requires a blend of relationship building, strong communication skills and organisation management. To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate experience in leading a team, able to prepare and present information in various forms to engage individuals who would benefit from FVSC services. Communication skills will be a crucial part of this role, in conjunction with being enthusiastic, collaborative and ambassador FVSC values and vision internally and externally.
