FLF is an established, award-winning charity, working across Fife to undertake vital work that supports people facing and experiencing homelessness. The organisation provides a comprehensive range of services including support with housing and homeless advice; accommodation services; drug and alcohol support; employability and outreach services with young people, schools and colleges. Central to all of this, is a commitment to human rights which accepts the fundamental premise that everyone has the right to live in a safe and secure home and choose the life they aspire to.

Due to the current post holder retiring, FLF are now looking for a Housing Support Lead to join a crucial part of the organisation. This role will be a part of the senior management team, supporting nine members of staff. The Housing Support Lead is instrumental in shaping and strengthening the current and future delivery of evidenced based social care practice. The Housing Support Lead will keep abreast of sector issues and developments which impact on people affected by homelessness and service delivery.

FLF is seeking a passionate and skilled individual with expertise and experience in support and care within a regulated environment and whose values are rooted in equalities and human rights. A self-starter, you will be energetic and motivated to make a real difference in improving the lives of people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. You’ll be someone who loves a challenge; is great at nurturing and maintaining staff relationships; is able to lead but also to reflect; is resilient and able to cultivate a commitment to quality, performance and upholding social care standards.

You’ll have knowledge and experience in safeguarding and working with vulnerable groups, experience in case management and assessing risk. You will also have people management and performance reporting experience and are likely to have a background in either homelessness, housing, health or social care.

In return, you’ll enjoy a package of benefits including a salary of £32,323 pa; an employer contributory pension scheme; 32 days annual leave per year inclusive of public holidays; regular office hours (36 per week) Monday-Friday; a business travel allowance; CPD; discounted lifestyle benefits and access to the Blue Light Membership Scheme offering generous retail offers.
