Post: Smart Travel Choices – Promotion & Marketing Officer
Location: HITRANS or Partner Local Authority Office within the HITRANS region
Salary: £31,151 - £32,903 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term (24 Month) with expectation of extension
Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Full time, Job Share or Flexible Hours considered) Fixed term for 24 months with expectation of extension
The post-holder will lead the co-ordination and delivery of the smart travel choices behaviour change programme and develop a coherent regional brand (currently HItravel) under which a range of initiatives and campaigns can be coordinated. This will involve delivering marketing measures, events and campaigns that promote sustainable travel choices across the Highlands and Islands. The role is funded through HITRANS People and Place programme which is supported by the Scottish Government through the Active Travel Programme managed by Transport Scotland. This role will work with HITRANS partners including our five local authorities, transport operators, active travel delivery partners, NHS and the third sector.
We are looking for best candidate for the post and recognise that a full time role will not suit everyone. We will consider job-share and flexible working arrangements including a different pattern or shorter working week.
The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the area in which HITRANS operates (i.e. our remit corresponds with our five local authority partner areas – Highland, Orkney Islands, Western Isles, Moray and Argyll and Bute Councils). If a working base from one of HITRANS three offices (Lairg, Inverness and Jura) is not suitable we will look to find office accommodation at one of our partner Councils.
