Lothian Valuation Joint Board

Lothian Valuation Joint Board is a Public Body established in 1996 to provide valuation services to the four councils of Lothian:- City of Edinburgh,East Lothian, West Lothian and Midlothian.

The Assessor is appointed to head the organisation and to ensure all statutory duties are fulfilled. The four councils have also appointed the Assessor as their Electoral Registration Officer.

The Board is responsible for compiling, maintaining and dealing with appeals for the Electoral Register, Council Tax Valuation List and Valuation Roll.
