You Decide Team - Community Navigator

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as part of a team delivering person centred support, helping people understand the root causes of the challenges they face and creating positive pathways that allow them to fulfil their potential.

This two year opportunity will be delivered by Riverside Community Trust (RCT) with funding from the Scottish Government’s Covid Recovery Fund via South Ayrshire Council and with additional financial support from the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit.

This exciting collaboration will be focused in the Wallacetown area of Ayr and aims to improve wellbeing, increase engagement and improve life chances for those seeking support. The successful candidate will deliver practical, bespoke interventions both in person and alongside a network of partner organisations to support people away from chronic violence towards a safer, healthier, and more productive lifestyle.

This challenging role will involve identifying those who may benefit from the service and creating positive pathways that enable people to develop. By working to tackle inequalities in accessing support services or other opportunities the post-holder will support individuals to understand the root causes of their current challenges, helping them navigate a sometimes-confusing system.

RCT is a locally based organisation committed to making a significant contribution to the needs of the local community. We are based in Riverside Church and the successful candidate will be expected to sympathise with the church’s Christian ethos & values.
