Sense Scotland is currently recruiting Support Practitioner's for our 24hr Housing Support services in based in Tulloch Hill, Perth with both full time (37 hrs) and part time contracts on offer. Experience is not necessary as a robust training package is in place to assist you through your first few weeks and further into your career. We provide one-to-one on the job training; in-house classroom style training with our experts; opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge via our e-learning packages and full support in gaining additional qualifications through our own SVQ centre.
About the service:
Based within our Adult Housing Support Services in Tulloch Hill, Perth the service provides 24hr support to adults with a range of support needs across three bases in Perthshire. Our teams support individuals with complex support needs in their own homes our teams offer excellent opportunities for these individuals to be involved in a range of activities. Our team also provide a warm homely environment, so the people who we support feel safe within their own homes, all while receiving specialist support.
What your day will look like:
Based in one service and spending the entirety of each shift with just one individual, you’ll get to know each other well and build trusting and positive relationships. Your focus is on enabling the people that you support to do everything they want to with their lives, using your own hobbies and interests to encourage opportunities to learn, promoting independence, ambition, health, safety and wellbeing, and most importantly, having fun! We are looking for individuals who enjoy participating in a range of activities such as cooking, shopping, being outdoors, sports, travel, swimming, shows, cinema, celebrating special occasions, travel and much more to join our team. With a focus on person-centred care, you will be required to support their needs while on duty by responding appropriately to any challenging behaviour or emergency situations which may arise, this will also include personal care.
