At Sense Scotland, we recognise how hard our staff work, so we're proud to offer a number of exclusive benefits.
Staff and Volunteer Awards
Every year, we hold an award ceremony for our staff and volunteers, celebrating their fantastic work and outstanding performance. Awards are also given for long service, recognising those who have worked with us for a number of years.
Free Blue Light Card
We provide each member of staff with the funds to purchase a Blue Light Card. This card provides discounts on the high street and online.
We are part of Cyclescheme, an employee benefit programme where staff can save between 25-39% on a bike and accessories. Staff pay nothing upfront, with payments taken tax efficiently from your salary. You must have been employed by Sense Scotland for one year to qualify.
Employee Assistance Programme
The programme is available to our staff, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It provides counselling support, health advice and personal legal advice whenever you need it.
Flexible working arrangements and family-friendly policies
Many of our roles are available on a part-time basis with flexible working hours, where possible.
Generous annual leave entitlement
On joining Sense Scotland, you’ll be entitled to 36 days’ annual leave, including public holidays (pro-rata for part time hours).
Health and wellbeing support
We encourage staff to live a healthy lifestyle through our various Healthy Working Lives initiatives.
HSF Health Plan and HSF Perkbox
Through the Hospital Saturday Fund (HSF), staff can claim discounts on medical, optical, dental, and physio treatments.
Incentive to stay payment
We will pay an incentive to stay payment to every worker who completes a satisfactory probationary period with us.
Life Assurance benefit
Life assurance is provided by Sense Scotland to employees at three times their salary.
Each month, we hold a prize draw for staff, offering colleagues the chance to win goodies like vouchers for their local supermarket.
We offer a contributory pension scheme.
Refer a friend to Sense Scotland and receive a bonus when they remain with us for a period of six months.
Scottish Living Wage
Sense Scotland is a Scottish Living Wage employer, which means we have committed to paying all directly employed members of staff the real Living Wage.
Training and Development
We have an exceptional induction, training and eLearning programme for all staff.
Sense Scotland is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
