Head of Social Enterprise in Education

Join us to help create a social enterprise in every school in Scotland in the next 10 years.

Over the last nine years the Academy has delivered a highly successful and impactful social enterprise in schools programme. We have worked with around 1000 schools and in that time have seen young people change how they see themselves and become active citizens using a business model to address social issues that they care about.

In their 10 year Strategy for Social Enterprise the Scottish Government announced its ambition to see a social enterprise in every school in Scotland. We have been tasked with leading on the delivery of this goal.

We are looking for a highly capable and inspiring leader to join our Senior Management Team and lead on this agenda, alongside our broader work with young people.

Your role will be to:

• Support the creation of a social enterprise in every school in Scotland
• Raise the profile and reputation of Social Enterprise Futures as a high impact programme that supports Scotland’s young people to become active, entrepreneurial citizens, raising their aspirations, skills and confidence
• Lead the development and growth of the Social Enterprise Futures Programme into a financially sustainable position by building on current activity and developing new markets
