We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Governance & Committee Officer to join our busy Legal & Property team. The post will be responsible for all organisation and administration necessary for the efficient and effective running of the Partnership and its Committees, ensuring compliance with public law legislation and providing guidance regarding good information governance, and providing support to the Partnership members.

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Executive, the post holder will have key responsibility for all aspects of committee administration, ensuring compliance with all legislation and guidance relating to GDPR, robust information management processes and practices throughout SPT, and being the main point of contact for records management purposes.

About You

Our ideal candidate should be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual, you will have excellent communication skills both orally and written. You will have up-to-date knowledge of efficient and effective Public Administration Law requirements with extensive experience in local authority public Committee administration systems. The ideal candidate will have appropriate relevant experience working within a Committee environment and with involvement in the development and implementation of robust internal processes. You will also have experience of maintaining governance and record systems.

The key responsibilities of the role are set out in the role description and include:

·To ensure, and encourage across SPT, full compliance with all public administrative legal requirements.

· To provide support to the Partnership Secretary in the management and co-ordination of all aspects of the official administrative functions of the Partnership and its Committees, including the servicing of Partnership meetings and its Committees, in compliance with Partnership standing orders.

·In consultation with the Assistant Chief Executive, develop, implement and deliver an effective information governance strategy which ensures the organisation is fully compliant with the requirements of Public Records Management, legislation, Freedom of Information, the GDPR and all associated information governance legislation.

·In consultation with the Assistant Chief Executive, to develop and implement robust procedures and practices across SPT in relation to the collection, storage, retention, sharing and destruction of information and records, including being the system owner of the information management system.

Full time hours will be 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday although you may be required to work flexibly and outwith these hours to meet operational needs. Part time applications are welcome.
