The Board of Trustees of Three Towns Growers is delighted to advertise the position of Development Worker based at Elm Park community gardens and allotments in Ardrossan, Ayrshire. This post has a probationary period of 3 months and funding has been secured for a fixed-term contract of 18 months, with a view to securing further funding to extend the duration of the post.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, creative, and committed individual to continue to build on the work already begun by volunteers to create learning and employment opportunities for people within the community. The individual is expected to:

· have experience of securing funding for projects

· assist with the development of the build within the allotment grounds be able to organise their own workload

· liaise with stake holders and funders to develop Three Towns Growers as an accredited centre providing support to schools and community groups, developing enterprise opportunities through horticultural activities

· have experience of working with community groups and an interest in horticulture.

If successfully called to interview, candidates will be expected to give a presentation.
