Clerical Officer

West of Scotland Area Services

£9.51 per hour on appointment; £9.67 on confirmation; £10.14 advanced development rate

Scottish Autism is a leading not-for-profit organisation that is committed to empowering and supporting people with autism. We are now looking for a Clerical Officer to join our West of Scotland service on a full time basis.

Within a supportive and vibrant environment, you’ll have the chance to undertake excellent training and build on your existing skill-set.

As a Clerical Officer, you’ll be responsible for supporting all administrative functions within the organisation. In this diverse role, you’ll help to operate and maintain Scottish Autism’s administration, financial and personnel systems and records.

You’ll respond to inbound telephone queries in a friendly, professional manner and answer any queries that callers may have.

Maintaining filing systems, you’ll organise the post, ensure that the office is well-stocked and distribute information to colleagues. Additionally, you’ll provide cover for the Administrator in their absence.

To be considered, you must have:

- Previous reception and administration experience

- A professional telephone manner

As the Clerical Officer, you must have excellent communication skills and a superb eye for detail. Highly motivated and proactive, you must also have a strong work ethic.
