Required for March 2024

Founded in 1878, Kelvinside Academy is an independent, HMC co-educational day school for around 650 pupils aged from 3-18 in the West End of Glasgow. It combines high standards of teaching and a superb extra-curricular programme within an inclusive and caring ethos.

Kelvinside Academy prides itself on being at the forefront of educational developments and change and are currently recruiting for the newly created role of Director of Educational Technology & Innovation to continue to strengthen this position.

The first of its kind in the UK, the School’s state-of-the-art Innovation School facility, opened in August 2019, and has enabled design thinking and an architectural design studio model to be incorporated into the curriculum from J1 to S6.

The Director of Educational Technology & Innovation will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Rector. Working collaboratively with the Academic Deputy, Board of Studies and the Head of Junior School, they will lead and develop the next stages of the innovation curriculum at Kelvinside Academy. They will be responsible for the leadership of innovation and digital learning, and for developing collaborative and creative learning experiences across the whole school from J1-S6. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school is also essential.
