Job Description

Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar.

This job is workstyle 5 - Flexi.

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for three Housing Policy Officers to join the Performance and Improvement Team to contribute to and drive continuous improvement in the Housing Service.

You will be responsible for a challenging but rewarding remit that includes:

• Ensuring effective research projects are delivered in-house by identifying gaps in evidence and carrying out qualitative and quantitative research and where appropriate ensure external research projects are commissioned and managed effectively, following Council procurement guidelines and being the lead contact to Contractors)

• Providing project management oversight and acting as policy lead to one of four Housing Improvement Delivery Groups to ensure the delivery of the Housing Service Improvement Plan

• Analysing current processes to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for streamlining processes, improving efficiencies and increasing customer satisfaction

• Providing high quality performance analysis and reporting

• Supporting data extraction, data manipulation and statistical analysis of multiple, large and complex datasets, maximising opportunities for automated processes

• Ensuring the housing service meets its statutory obligations under data protection and freedom of information laws.

These jobs are temporary for up to 12 months from date of appointment.

Internal and external applications on a secondment basis will be considered. You must have the approval of your line manager / organisation.
