Argyll and Bute Council wishes to appoint an administrative assistant within the Housing Service. This is a permanent, full time post.

The successful candidate will assist the Housing Systems Co-ordinator to deliver high quality administrative and financial support to the Housing Teams.

A key element of the post is to verify information provided in connection with Private Sector Housing Grant applications, establish ownership of properties and to verify information prior to issuing statutory notices in relation to Housing legislation.

The post holder will collate information in respect of Freedom of Information enquiries.

It is essential that the successful candidate has:

  • 3 standard grades or equivalent at level 1 or 2 (including Maths and English);
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of databases and spreadsheets
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to input data correctly;

It is desirable to have:

  • A Professional Development Award in Housing Advice and ECDL.
  • Knowledge of Private Sector Housing Grants and Housing legislation.
  • Minute taking experience

Knowledge of Fusion Financial and PECOS systems.
