The post is full time; 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The base for the post is negotiable within Argyll and Bute. Remote / hybrid options will be considered for this post and we will do our best to find the right fit for the successful applicant, although some presence in the office (and wider Argyll and Bute area, from time to time) may be required.

Argyll and Bute Council is seeking an OD Project Assistant to support the OD Officer with the delivery of digital activities. Our Chief Executive has recently launched a “Connect for Success” change programme aimed at delivering a new operating model for the Council, one of the core principles of which is to maximise opportunities that technology offers. This temporary role within the HR and OD team presents an opportunity for an OD Project Assistant to have a key role in supporting OD digital solutions and implementation of Microsoft 365 functionality across the organisation. You will also support our network of employees who have volunteered to become our digital champions to help support colleagues as we embed digital skills across the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a HNC / equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline or appropriate experience. Argyll and Bute Council is Scotland’s second largest local authority by area. The Council serves 23 inhabited islands and is home to some of the most breath-taking scenery Scotland has to offer. Our unique demographics mean that every day, our teams are finding creative ways to overcome the challenges associated with delivering services to widely dispersed communities in remote and rural locations.

This post is classed as remote which means that the post holder can do the majority of their activities from any location. The successful candidate will be allocated an administrative base within Argyll and Bute and will have the option of working from the office and / or remotely in line with their personal preference.
