Apprentice Woodwork Machinist

Job Description

Based at 353 Clepington Road, you will work full time, 37 hours for a fixed term of 4 years.

The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants up to the age of 29.

Requirements

You will have 3 National 4s, including English, Maths or Application of Maths and one other relevant subject (for example: Craft & Design or Technological Studies),

and/or

Supported industrial experience such as Skill Development Scotland "Get Ready for Work" initiative including completion of relevant Pre-Apprentice Scheme (National Progression Award).

Responsibilities

You will learn all Woodwork Machinist duties and tasks competently and safely in accordance with training and skills as instructed and directed by supervision.

The Individual

You will have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative and have good communication skills.

You will have the ability to attend college as part of apprenticeship, and the ability to compile and update training related portfolio for evidence of training/experience for training provider.
