Job Description

Working in a hybrid style, based at home and in Building Services Electrical Team, Design and Property Division, Dundee House. You will work full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Requirements

You will have City and Guilds Electrical Installation qualification or equivalent and up to date CICS card holder or ECS Electrical Equivalent.

Responsibilities

You will assist in the provision of a building services electrical service to the City Development Architects and other departments, as directed by the Architectural Services Manager. You will represent Architectural Services on construction projects and maintenance services projects emanating from the Department, to ensure compliance with maintenance and design specifications, materials and workmanship standards.

The Individual

You will have site liaison, inspection and quality control experience in Electrical construction industry and installation and maintenance experience in Electrical Services. You will have a recognised Electrical apprenticeship with sound knowledge of electrical installation, plant and equipment. You will have knowledge of Health and Safety legislation including CDM and a good understanding of Energy Efficiency measures and up to date knowledge of technical standards in Electrical Services. You will have practical knowledge on the application of latest IET Wiring Regulations. You will have the ability to undertake site visits and surveys including working at height and in confined spaces. You will have the ability to work with people in other disciplines and deal directly with clients, operate and contribute within a multi-disciplinary team and be able to work with the minimum of supervision. You will have effective time management to achieve project objectives, good report writing skills and be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. You will have a current driving licence and access to a car and a flexible approach to working hours as duties might require to work after hours to complete task.
