Requirements

You will have an HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent in a relevant subject area and the ability/willing to obtain CIH Level 3 in Housing, within agreed timescale.

Responsibilities

You will assist the Housing Options Team Leader by providing day to day supervision of the Housing Options Team and will be responsible for developing, promoting and delivering services to persons who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. Services will focus on the prevention of homelessness and will include front line housing options advice, advocacy and referral services. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all homeless applications are comprehensively assessed in line with legislation, guidance and within performance timescales. You will carry a housing options case load and will take a lead role in delivering preventative advice sessions to schools, prisons and agencies working with persons threatened with homelessness.

The Individual

You will have experiencing of assessing and managing support needs for clients, with the ability to monitor and managing performance, and working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Office 365, Teams, Word, Excel. You will have excellent communications skills, oral and written, the ability to implement and manage change within a team and service provision, with a high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with people at all levels and build effective working relationships. You will have excellent interpret and present in information both in written and verbal format. Excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to manage challenging workloads and competing deadlines. You will build and maintain working relationships with other teams’ groups and the ability to implement and lead change. You will have the ability to work outside normal working hours as required.
