You will have CIH level 3/HNC in housing or relevant subject, or relevant housing experience.Responsibilities
You will have responsibility for co-ordinating temporary accommodation services for persons presenting as homeless or threatened with homelessness in accordance with the City Council’s statutory obligations. This will include identifying available accommodation and administering placements into temporary accommodation on both an emergency and planned basis. In addition, the postholder will have responsibility for assessing client support needs, again in accordance with statutory obligations, co-ordinating support services to residents of temporary accommodation , assessing most suitable DCC options with regard to client income and furniture requirements and liaising with accommodation providers to facilitate move on from temporary accommodation.The Individual
You will have experience in housing or other front line experience working with the public along with supervisory experience.
Good written and verbal communication skills, interviewing experience, knowledge of homeless legislation and IT skills are essential.
