Living in Dundee

A city worth discovering.

Dundee offers its residents the best of both worlds, with every benefit you would expect of a large modern city, combined with the friendliness, ease of access and community feeling of a place half its size.

With class-leading entertainment facilities, including Dundee Rep Theatre, Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA), two cinema multiplexes, an ice rink, museums, an art gallery and two professional football teams there is no shortage of things to do for people of all ages.

The cultural quarter, centred on DCA, is buzzing with cafes, bars and restaurants that within a few short steps can take you from China to Italy via Turkey and France!

A huge range of shopping options are on offer in Dundee, from the High Street outlets, to small boutique premises offering everything from freshly blended tea to the latest designer fashion.

Camperdown Park is the green jewel in Dundee's crown. Found on the northwest boundary of the city, within its extensive grounds there is an 18-hole golf course, adventure play park, many tree lined walks and a wildlife centre where you can meet bears and wolves.

The choice of home is almost limitless from cool apartments in new build waterfront locations or converted mills to good-sized family accommodation in former industrialists' town houses or top drawer modern homes in the suburbs with all the usual amenities at hand.

Schools in Dundee are currently in the middle of a £100m modernisation programme, while others have already been fitted out to 21st century standards.
