The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £14.85 - £15.91

Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, times to be agreed.
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

East Lothian Council as Roads/Road Works Authority has a statutory duty to comply with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005.  This entails the operation of a number of statutory and non-statutory databases including GIS, APSE, SCOTS, ASOR and SRWR.

The Jobholder will be involved in all of these functions, supporting the service to meet their statutory duty in association to the occupation of roads throughout East Lothian and will provide administrative/clerical support within the Road Services team.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
