Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced policy professional to join Health & Social Care Scotland for a period of up to 2 years. 

This is a new role which will provide policy support to the National Strategic Lead for Primary Care, within Health and Social Care Scotland. 

The main function is to support policy analysis and development in relation to primary care; provide business support for primary care engagement structures and support the Lead and Chief Officers in influencing national policy. Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will be required to have an understanding of health and social care policy and integration in Scotland; be highly organised; a skilled communicator and be experienced in collaborative working with a range of stakeholders. The post will involve close working with Scottish Government. 

Applicants must be Educated to degree level or equivalent and meet the essential core skills, knowledge and competencies for this post. The post will be hosted in a local Health & Social Care Partnership. The successful candidate will be expected to work with minimal supervision, exercising initiative and proven skills in liaising, organising and influencing.
