Operations Assistant

Job Description

To provide support services to all departments within Facilities Management to deliver cleaning, catering and Janitorial services in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, to provide an identified service in the following disciplines:

 

Responsibilities

Direct and participate in all aspects of service delivery

Health and safety – Ensure compliance

Provision, organisation and maintenance of materials and equipment

Responsible for relevant in-services training

Financial responsibility including inventory tasks

 

The Individual

Technical ability

Direct experience of working in a technical capacity

Experience of craft trades – Joinery and Painting

Qualified to HNC level in a Science subject (Electrical/Electronic Engineering) - or equivalent as demonstrated by experience in any of these fields

Evidence of continuous professional development

 

Sound organisational and time management skills

Self confidence

Self-motivated

IT literate

 

Numerate

Attention to detail

Experience of ordering plant/equipment/supplies and stock control

Knowledge of stock control

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car/van.

Willingness to accept direction/delegation

Ability to move and handle equipment in conjunction with moving and handling regulations

Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service

Ability to work in a shared office

Starting Salary: £26163.80

£13.88 per hour

36.25 hours per week (52 Weeks per year)
