Job Description

To provide operational management of the Joint Equipment Store.

To ensure that the Joint Equipment Store adapts, improves and delivers services in line with the strategic direction of Provider Services in Moray.

To assume the role of Elms administrator in Moray.

 

Requirements

To provide leadership and operational management of the Joint Equipment Store including responsibility for staff structure, recruitment, training, purchasing and asset management of OT equipment, Telecare and NHS equipment.

Develop and maintain Joint Equipment Store Standards, Policies and Procedures in consultation with staff and store stakeholders.

Be responsible for service planning and the monitoring of costs of budget spends.

Provide support and guidance to all staff employed with the Joint Equipment Store including formal supervision and ERDP.

Act as Lead Officer and Administrator for Elms asset management system within the Store.

Health and Safety. Undertake Health and Safety Risk Assessments within the Store environment and when using equipment in Clients homes.

Complete Moving and Handling and in accordance with statutory requirements.

Ensure Health and Safety standards are being met within the Store and Refurb environment when working with chemicals

Ensure staff have relevant training in COSHH.

To have continuous development of digital Health and Social Care within the Moray area.

Oversee stock recycling Management and Annual equipment audits.

The Individual

Experience of managing delivery of a service and staff team.

HNC/SVQ 3 or equivalent in Supervisory or willing to work towards a supervisory qualification such as HNC/SVQ 3.

A good basis academic qualifications.

Evidence of ability to meet SSSC registration requirements and continuing PRTL requirements.

Good organisational skills.

Competent in the use of IT systems, including Microsoft and bespoke IT systems.

Good communication skills Sound understanding of administrative processes.

Ability to innovate in response to people’s needs.

Ability to provide leadership and direction to employees.

Ability to develop and implement service plans.

Ability to develop and implement Policies and Procedures.

Ability to prepare and present data in a report format.

Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car
