Job Description

To carry out the duties of a Store Person/Labourer and to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective maintenance service.

Requirements

To undertake a range of stores and labouring duties as directed by the Business Coordinator.

To ensure that adequate levels of materials are stocked, stored, delivered and maintained to service the resource requirements of craft/manual personnel.

To provide out of hours cover when required.

To undertake training as required.

To comply with all Health and Safety and security procedures and guidelines.

To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably expected from time to time.

The Individual

Previous experience working in a stores environment including accounting for, control and issue of stock.

3 SQA standard grades or equivalent at level 3 or above including Arithmetic.

Capable of working on own initiative or as part of a team.

Good numeracy skills

Excellent organisational skills

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Self-motivated and self-confident

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a van/car.

Full driving licenceAble to move and handle equipment

Good communication skills

Ability to be diplomatic with clients/staff

Willingness to accept direction/delegation

Ability to move and handle equipment within the store in conjunction with moving and handling regulations

Able to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service
