Job Summary

Temporary for 26 weeks.

We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

Summary

North Ayrshire Council is creating temporary positions within our Skills for Life programme. The programme is funded by Scottish Government and aims to support a parent, to gain training, skills and experience within the Employability Team.

  • These placements will be for 26 weeks
  • Up to 20 hours per week
  • Paid at the Real Living Wage, £12 ph.

Eligibility

To be considered for the post you must be a Parent with a dependent child(ren) living in the same household, a resident of North Ayrshire and currently unemployed.

Benefits

As part of the Skills For Life programme, there will be a registration day prior to employment in which you will be asked to provide ID and meet with support services.

Registration Day will include;

  • Registration Form
  • NAC Resourcing paperwork

In Work Support:

  • Mentor support throughout the 26 weeks placement
  • Transitional Employment Support
