Job Description

Business Assistant (2 posts) - PKC10041
£20,609 - £21,679
2 High Street, Perth

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Assistant to provide a comprehensive and high level admin support service in the Education & Children’s Services (ECS) Communications Support Team within Business Services.  We are looking for a flexible, organised, methodical and enthusiastic person to undertake a range of admin and clerical duties which will provide you with a diverse range of skills and experience.

You will assist in the administration of the statutory functions of Freedom of Information, Data Protection and Complaints for ECS, requiring adherence to statutory timescales and to also support Officers with their queries and responses.

You will also undertake a varied range of clerical and administrative tasks in a team which is responsible for supporting areas such as the Work Experience and Career Ready programmes for schools, events such as Cross Country, County Sports and other dance events and also supporting the ECS Committee process.  The role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside and support various Education Support Officers, Quality Improvement Officers and Project Officers.

You will assist in monitoring information received through a variety of generic email accounts and process information through database systems and spreadsheets.  You will therefore work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

We are also looking for you to be an excellent team player as you will be required to assist with tasks across the wider team.

This post offers you the opportunity to learn about a wide range of Education and Children's Services functions and to build knowledge and experience in these areas.

Although this post is based at 2 High Street, Perth, the team are currently working on a hybrid model working between the office and home.

The Individual

The post requires a dynamic and motivated individual who is able to carry out the duties of the post, including processing enquiries from the general public and external agencies promptly, efficiently and accurately and who will contribute enthusiastically to the work of the wider team.

A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required in this role, as well as having a proactive and positive mindset.
