Housing Assistant, Perth, PKC11263
£15,304 - £16,724 (21.6 hours/week) Fixed Term (until 19/03/2025)

Do you enjoy working with people? We have an exciting opportunity for the right person. This is a Housing Assistant role within the City Locality Housing Team based in Pullar House but may be asked to provide cover in other localities as and when required. You will undertake administrative duties but will also provide support to Housing Officers and other colleagues within the locality team to deliver a comprehensive, frontline housing management service to our customers. The post involves contact and liaison with a wide range of customers including colleagues within the team, in other council services, external agencies, customers, tenant representatives and elected members. You will also be required to carry out visits to tenants' homes for tenancy and estate management purposes as part of the role. You must hold a clean current driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work use to undertake this role. You will work 3 days a week (7.2 hours daily) but will participate in a flexi scheme.
You will bring a positive energy; embrace change and work with the business to ensure optimum service is always provided. Candidates should have the ability to undertake all tasks and functions as detailed within job profile. Amongst the job specific/candidate requirements, the successful candidate requires to provide excellent customer care, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, undertake tasks to a high standard, demonstrate a flexible, positive and proactive approach to their work and their interactions with colleagues and customers, have an understanding of Health and Safety procedures. Candidates should ideally hold a CIH Level 3 Certificate/ Diploma in Housing Practice or National Homepoint Standard Level 2; must be computer literate with proven IT skills in Microsoft Office applications and have experience of using computer databases and management systems Candidates must hold a clean current driving licence and have access to a vehicle to undertake this role. The ability to understand basic relevant legislation.
