This role is integral in supporting the Employee Services Officer with the delivery of operational tasks across our Transactional and Time & Attendance teams whilst maintaining and developing a positive relationship with stakeholders across the Council and partner organisations. Where necessary, the roles also support our improvement journey and tasks arising from the Right for Renfrewshire programme.

 

 

The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of service objectives by effectively supporting and managing the relationship between Employee Services, strategic partners and stakeholders and by actively participating in the development of CBS service objectives. The role will involve responsibilities for analysing, building, maintaining and improving working relationships with stakeholders, information systems, processes and performance in collaboration with Employee Services management and staff.



You will be expected to be able to; manage your own workload, evaluate and identify areas for improvements relative to service needs, monitor performance, work effectively with team/task leaders and be an effective contact for issues, suggestions and enquiries. Furthermore, you will; be able to lead team meetings, issue appropriate guidance and provide training where appropriate. You will also report on progress, statistics and KPI’s as well as supporting Employee Services Officer to implement new processes whilst maintaining and developing your knowledge of Employee Services activities.



It is essential that you have experience of; supervision of staff, providing verbal and written feedback to staff & stakeholders, working effectively with other teams and services, identifying improvements or where support is required, effective decision making, demonstrating strong communication skills, taking responsibility for your actions and remaining calm under pressure.



It is desirable that you have; developed KPI’s or service level agreements, implemented change and have a knowledge of Corporate policies and procedures. An SVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent is also desirable.
