Role Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity within the Pensions Administration Team for a new member of staff to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high quality service to members of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

The team are responsible for all administration elements for the Scottish Borders Council Pension Fund, supporting in excess of 12,000 members, active, deferred and pensioners. Ensuring that all pension entitlements are processed and paid in line with current regulations and legislations.


The vacancy is as a result of internal promotions following the addition of a new role within the team. The successful candidate will be receive training and support in all things pension, therefore, we welcome applicants who may not have pensions experience but have a willingness to learn new skills and come with skills and experience from an administration or financial background that can be built upon.

Essential

HNC in relevant discipline or extended period of processing experience in one or more functional area Experience of working in a high volume, deadline driven customer service environment
